Arnold Schwarzenegger Set To Star In Western Amazon Series

Another day, another Amazon Studios announced series. Deadline first reported today that Arnold Schwarzenegger is set to star and executive produce “Outrider”, a western event series for Amazon Prime.

Outrider follows a deputy pressured by a judge to pursuit and capture a notorious outlaw in 1800s Indian territory Oklahoma. Arnie is set to play a federal marshall that helps the deputy in the hunt.

Trey Callaway (APB, CSI:NY) and Mark Montgomery will both write and executive produce along with Mace Neufeld, who also serves as an executive produce in the upcoming Amazon Prime series Jack Ryan starring John Krasinski.

This will mark the first regular television series role for Schwarzenegger. He has appeared on other television shows as himself and hosted The New Celebrity Apprentice on NBC.
