Doug Liman Reveals Sequel Title For Edge of Tomorrow Sequel

It’s been almost 3 years since we’ve seen Douglas Liman‘s Edge of Tomorrow. Talks about a sequel has been floating around for sometime, but word from the cast & Liman about a sequel has been scarce. Collider got the chance to sit down with Douglas Liman & go over the sequel to 2014’s Edge of Tomorrow.

Liman revealed that the title for the second film will be called Live Die Repeat and Repeat. When it comes accordingly to the shooting date, Liman said that the production date is “not an if, it’s a when.” Doug Liman had signed on to direct the sequel, while Race screenwriters Joe Shrapnel & Anna Waterhouse will write the script for the film. No release date of additional cast members were announced, nut Liman did say that Cruise is “excited” to start filming.

When Earth falls under attack from invincible aliens, no military unit in the world is able to beat them. Maj. William Cage (Tom Cruise), an officer who has never seen combat, is assigned to a suicide mission. Killed within moments, Cage finds himself thrown into a time loop, in which he relives the same brutal fight — and his death — over and over again. However, Cage’s fighting skills improve with each encore, bringing him and a comrade (Emily Blunt) ever closer to defeating the aliens.
