Dragon Ball Z Voice Actor Jōji Yanami Passed Away

Dragon Ball voice actor Jōji Yanami has passed away at the age of 90. There are no specifics on how he passed, but we know that he passed away last week on December 3rd. News of Yanami falling ill became known in 2015 when Toei Animation announced that Yanami would be taking medical leave from Dragon Ball Super for an indefinite amount of time.

Longtime anime fans will know Yanami for his voice in the Dragon Ball series from 1986-2015 as the narrator & Dr. Brief. Yanamai has also done voice work for other anime like City Hunter, Digimon, Inuyasha, Lupin the Third & many more.

Our hearts go out to his family & friends & his work will surely be missed throughout the anime world.
