Game of Thrones Creators To Write And Produce Star Wars Films

In an exciting announcement on the official Star Wars website. Game of Thrones creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss will leave Westeros after the final season of G.O.T. and tackle the Star Wars universe.

The duo will produce and write a new series of films, separate from the “Skywalker Saga” and The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson’s planned trilogy of films.

Kathleen Kennedy had this to say:

“David and Dan are some of the best storytellers working today. Their command of complex characters, depth of story and richness of mythology will break new ground and boldly push Star Wars in ways I find incredibly exciting.”

No other details about the subject matter of the films or any official start dates were mentioned.
