A few anime from the 90’s have had the dust blown off of them & were pulled back into the spotlight. One in particular is the Digimon film series, Digimon Adventures tri., which included Digimon 01 & Digimon 02 characters. However, it looks like yet another beloved anime is making its way back out from the shadows.
It was announced that Yū Yū Hakusho would be returning as an OVA awhile ago, but we finally get to see some visuals from the upcoming anime! The anime will be adapting the “Two Shot” & “All or Nothing” arcs from the manga. The Two Shot portion of the OVA will focus on how Kurama & Hiei first met & the All or Nothing portion of the OVA will reunite the gang together to figure out who’s behind a hostage crisis in the spirit realm.

There will be a screening event held for the first episode of the original anime & OVa at Shinjuku’s Toho Cinemas on October 6, 2018. The OVA will come with the fourth part of the anime’s 25th Anniversary Blu-ray Box collection, which is schedlsch to hit Japan on October 26, 2018.
The Yū Yū Hakusho anime is based off of the Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yoshihiro Togashi. The series tells the story of Yusuke Urameshi, a teenage delinquent who is struck and killed by a car while attempting to save a child’s life. After a number of tests presented to him by Koenma, the son of the ruler of the afterlife Underworld, Yusuke is revived and appointed the title of “Underworld Detective”, with which he must investigate various cases involving demons and apparitions in the human world. The manga becomes more focused on martial arts battles and tournaments as it progresses.
