Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite Gets a New Story Trailer

Tonight, Sony tried to build the hype for its Cinematic Story Mode in the upcoming Marvel Vs Capcom: Infinite. The trailer gave us some new tidbits. After some some quick gameplay flashes, we get a location shot of Stark Tower where our team is debating a desperate plan. They have Thanos imprisoned and he’s looking to strike a deal. Of course they don’t want to let him out but of course that’s what they’ll have to do if they want him to cooperate. As they show the different characters weighing in on this Faustian deal, we get a glimpse of some new characters. Marvel’s Black Panther (have you seen the trailer?), Gamora, Thanos and Nova as well as Capcom’s Dante and Zero.

In even better news, you don’t have to take my word for it, the story demo is available for download on TODAY. Capcom knows the hardcore fighting game community is still skeptical about this game, and the story demo could be the shot of confidence they need. The game is still set for a September 19 launch on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. If the demo makes you want to go all out for this game, pre orders are still open.

Standard Edition ($59.99) comes with Premium costumes for Warrior Thor and Evil Ryu. Deluxe ($89.99) includes that as well as Gladiator Hulk and Command Mission Mega Man X Premium Costumes. It also includes a 2017 Character Pass which has 6 additional characters and a Premium Costume for each. Sigma and 5 to-be-announced characters will also be available following the game’s release. The Collector’s Edition ($199.99) comes with all of that plus Four premium character dioramas of Iron Man, Captain Marvel, Mega Man X and Chun-Li. There’s also a case with replicas of the six Infinity Stones.

But before you whip that wallet out, check out the trailer below!
