The first trailer of the new Shaft movie has a whole lot of people saying “You damn right!” With three generations of the iconic character reflected in this movie, we hope that this movie doesn’t disappoint.
When JJ’s, John Shaft Jr. (Jesse T. Usher), best friend dies under mysterious circumstances, this FBI cyber security expert joins forces with his father — the legendary cop John Shaft (Samuel L. Jackson) — to scour the streets of Harlem, N.Y., and uncover the truth. Along with a special appearance by the original John Shaft (Richard Roundtree).
Shaft is written by Kenya Barris and Alex Barnow, based on the character John Shaft from the novel by Ernest Tidyman. Tim Story directs this film, while John Davis produced the film under his Davis Entertainment banner. Check out the movie trailer below.
