Pet Sematary Prequel Adds Henry Thomas & Samantha Mathis

It looks like Pet Sematary is being revisited, but it’ll be a prequel to Stephen King‘s novel this time. According to Deadline, Henry Thomas (E.T., The Haunting of Hill House) & Samantha Mathis (Billions) have signed on to star in the upcoming prequel to Pet Semetary.

The film also stars Jackson White, Forrest Goodluck, Jack Mulhern, Natalie Alyn Lind, Isabella Star LeBlanc & Pam Grier. The prequel will air on Paramount+ & started production last week & will be directed by Lindsey Beer. No story details or release date have been revealed, but being a prequel, Beer can flesh out the universe & play around with the lore.

This will be the third time Paramount has pushed out a film from Pet Sematary. The first one was the 1989 film & the second one was released in 2019.
