G.I. Joe Snake Eyes solo film in the works at Paramount

In an exclusive report from The Hollywood Reporter, Paramount Pictures have set the wheels in motion for a solo spin-off film of G.I. Joe fan favorite Snake Eyes.

Writer Evan Spiliotopoulos (The Huntsman: Winter’s War/ Beauty and the Beast *2017*) has been penned to write out a script for the project.

A master at hand to hand combat and stealth, Snake Eyes had become a household name among fans of the G.I. Joe franchise despite the character being silent and having little to no dialogue in any form of media and having a background shrouded in mystery.

This will be the 3rd time we see Snake Eyes on the silver screen. Ray Park played Snake Eyes in 2009’s G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra and 2013’s G.I. Joe: Retaliation. Both films struggled domestically. While both films were not particularly good, the personal conflict between Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow (played by Lee Byung-Hun) was a solid sub plot in the previous films.

No other info has become available at this time, but we will keep you in the loop when more news comes.
