Summit Entertainment releases first trailer for Robin Hood

The first trailer for Summit Entertainment’s retelling of the classic tale of Robin Hood has been released this morning.

Otto Bathurst directs with Taron Egerton, Jamie Foxx, Jamie Dornan, Eve Hewson and Ben Mendelsohn starring.

The trailer shows off tons of high pace action and the obligatory slow motion action shots that have become the norm for action/adventure movies.

The story seems to remain the same as Robin of Loxley himself steals from the rich to give to the poor and rails against the Sheriff of Nottingham. But here is the synopsis for the film.

A war-hardened Crusader and his Moorish commander mount an audacious revolt against the corrupt English crown in a thrilling action-adventure packed with gritty battlefield exploits, mind-blowing fight choreography, and a timeless romance.

Robin Hood hits theaters Wednesday November 21 in time for Thanksgiving. Watch the trailer below.
