Warner Bros. Pictures Is Remaking ‘The Bodyguard’

Surprise, surprise. Warner Bros. Pictures is bringing the remake of the classic 1992 film The Bodyguard that starred Whitney Houston & Kevin Costner.

WB is bringing Tony nominee Matthew López to write the script & will be produced by the Lawrence Kasdan, who produced & wrote the first film & Dan Lin & Jonathan Eirich for Rideback. The film will be executive produced by Nick Reynolds.

No word on who will star in the film, who’s directing & what year they’re targeting for release.
