Not only was the fan community left divided over the snip but actors on Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy film spoke out about losing their director & friend over the matter. It was looking like Gunn was stuck in a dark corner until today!
io9 reported today that Warner Bros. Pictures is looking to bring Gunn over to their cinematic universe to write & direct the Suicide Squad sequel! If all goes as planned, this would be a solid move on WB’s part, as Gunn could flip the stale taste David Ayer left in the mouths of moviegoers with Suicide Squad.
As of right now, all we know about the sequel is that it won’t be a direct follow-up to the first film & that it will approach the characters differently. What do you think about this?
