It was just confirmed today that Paramount Pictures will be moving forward with a sequel for A Quiet Place. A Quiet Place rocked the box office & made $213.3 million with a budget of 17 million.
The film is directed by John Krasinski, who also stars in the film with his real-life wife Emily Blunt. The screenplay was written by Krasinski, Bryan Woods, and Scott Beck based on a story by Woods and Beck. In the modern horror thriller A QUIET PLACE, a family of four must navigate their lives in silence after mysterious creatures that hunt by sound threaten their survival. If they hear you, they hunt you.
Paramount Pictures Chief Jim Gianopulos said:
“We’re already working with these guys on a sequel. If you told me five years ago that an almost silent film starring the very funny guy Jim from ‘The Office’ would have been a hit at Paramount, I would have said, ‘Well, I should go work at Paramount.”
This shouldn’t come as no surprise, especially since we were left an open ending, but I’d like to see where this sequel will take us. I was honestly hoping for a prequel, but I can deal with a sequel. What do you think about a sequel?
