Paramount Pictures Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Reboot Will Start Production This Year

Paramount Pictures‘ 2014 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles & it’s 2016 sequel Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows films didn’t land on solid ground with longtime fans of the series & original 90’s trilogy. The studio announced last year that instead of doing a third film that they will reboot the series once again alongside Michael Bay, Andrew Form & Brad Fuller‘s Platinum Dunes studio.

The film will be written by Andrew Dodge, but as of right now, there is no director or cast attached. The producers spoke with Variety & when asked about the cast & director, the producers said:

“nothing yet but we have dates we are trying to hit, that’s all.”

While at the Critics’ Choice Awards, the producers said that “looking like production” will push forward “at the end of the year.” No word yet on what new road Dodge will take with the story, but we do know that he is going in a bold new direction.
