Crackdown 3 was first announced at E3 2014. When we last saw it, it was a playable demo at Gamescom 2015. The popular bash and bust superhero cop game then got delayed so Microsoft could improve the multiplayer experience.
Now at E3 2017 Terry Crews brings his trademark explosive enthusiasm and a big freaking gun to reintroduce Crackdown’s nighttime neon world. As Commander Jaxon he promises that instead of throwing bombs, you’ll be throwing buildings. The trailer showed 3 agents flying, shooting, and blowing stuff up all over the cityscape. The devs added that today’s trailer was only of the campaign. They promise more footage to come this week, possibly showing the destructible environments they’ve been trying to tweak for multiplayer.
Featuring 4 player co-op, the game is set for a November 7,2017 release. It will be available for Xbox One and Windows 10 as a Play Anywhere title. Watch the trailer below for a glimpse at the guns and action.
