Disney’s string of live-action remakes of their animated classic films seems to be on the rise. With films like Beauty & the Beast & The Little Mermaid landing soon, it’s no surprise that the house of mouse has decided to do a live-action version of The Lion King.
Although the film hasn’t gone into production, Disney has confirmed that they’re bringing in Donald Glover to play Simba & they’re bringing back James Earl Jones to play Mufasa! Jon Favreau, director on the film announced the big news via Twitter!
Jeff Nathanson will write the film. The release date for the film is still beign kept under lock & key.
