Marvel Inks Deal to Have Stan Lee Return to Feature Films

Marvel just inked a 20-year deal with Stan Lee Universe, which is a company held between Genius Brans International & POW! Entertainment. This deal will make it to Lee’s name & likeness can be used in feature films, Disney theme parks, television productions & other “experiences” & merchandising.

Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe & comic book readers were hit hard in 2018 when we lost the great Stan Lee. Lee’s cause of death was cardiac arrest with respiratory failure and congestive heart failure as underlying causes.

Andy Heyward, Chairman & CEO of Genius Brands had this to say about the move: “It really ensures that Stan, through digital technology and archival footage and other forms, will live in the most important venue, the Marvel movies, and Disney theme parks. It’s a broad deal.” Heyward added: “The audience revered Stan and if it’s done with taste and class, and respectful of who he was, it will be welcomed. He is a beloved personality and long after you and I are gone, he will remain the essence of Marvel.

How do you feel about this new deal?
