Michael Myers returns in the first trailer for Halloween

Universal Pictures released the official trailer for Halloween this morning after releasing 2 mini announcement trailers the past couple of days.

40 years after the original film takes place, Laurie Strode prepares herself for a final face off against Michael Myers. This film will ignore every entry in the franchise after 1978’s Halloween.

Jamie Lee Curtis, Judy Greer, Will Patton, Virginia Gardner, Andi Matichak and Nick Castle star. David Gordon Green (Pineapple Express/Stronger) directs with tons of high caliber support behind the camera.

Jason Blum serves as producer with Blumhouse Productions also involved in the creative process. Danny McBride (Eastbound and Down/ Vice Principals) and Jeff Fradley wrote the story and original Halloween director and creator John Carpenter is an executive producer, creative consultant and composer for the film.

Halloween is due in theaters October 19th. Watch the trailer below.
