Michelle La Bella Insomniac, the developer of the 2018 hit release of Marvel’s Spider-Man game, surprised viewers today at the Playstation 2021 Showcase. This announcement comes in the form of an extremely brief teaser. The teaser shows off a torn-up bar, with only one person sitting in a hat and a checkered flannel. A man who had previously been knocked down stood up with a knife, and the individual sitting down revealed Wolverine’s signature adamantium claws.
The PlayStation blog stated that Marvel’s Wolverine is a “standalone game” and is directed by Brian Horton and Cameron Christian. However, it’s just in the beginning stages of development, but the blog gave one hint; comparing Wolverine to Spider-Man, in that,” Both heroes feel deeply compelled to defend people who are less able to do so.”
We received very little information from the teaser. However, given Insomniac’s history with their games, we can speculate that it will also be exclusive to PlayStation. Unfortunately, we do not have a release date or any gameplay information about the upcoming title due to it being so fresh.
