New X-Men Series Gets Pilot Order On Fox

Fox’s hands seem to be tied up with Hugh Jackman’s last run on the big screen as Logan, the New Mutants film & the future X-Men & Deadpool films, but it doesn’t mean that their focus will remain on the big screen. We knew that Fox was in talks to bring an X-Men live-action series to their network, but the specifics of the series remained a secret.

Well, it’s was announced today that FOX has officially ordered the pilot for the new X-Men television series. The show will be pushed forward by Matt Nix (Burn Notice) & is said to focus on two ordinary parents who discover their children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive.

As of right now, the release date of this new drama is unknown, but it’s good to see that Fox has enough faith to move forward with Nix’s project.
