Sony Finally Reveals Release Date & Price For PlayStation 5

Back when Sony hit us with their PlayStation 5 event this summer, the gaming community was in awe over games like Spider-Man: Miles Morales & Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart. However, even with Sony’s event overshadowing Microsoft’s, we were left in the dark about a release date or price. It didn’t take much for us gamers to conclude that the new titans were waiting to see who’d jump first & the last one standing would then have a chance to adjust their price according to the competition, but the wait is finally over & Sony has unleashed the Kracken.

Today, Sony announced that the PlayStation 5 will be released in November & that the official price for the next-gen console will be locked in at $399 for the digital & $499 for the disc version. Finally, we can put our money down on the PlayStation 5 & hopefully rest easy knowing that it will arrive at our doorsteps on November 12th for the US, Japan, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand & South Korea. The system will release everywhere else on the 19th Sony also revealed that they will be doing pre-orders tomorrow at selected retailers.

The launch titles for the PlayStation 5 will be Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Just Dance 2021, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, which will also launch on the Xbox Series X & PC, & Astro’s Playroom.
