There have been small pop-ups of a third Bad Boys film from Sony coming to the big screen. Martin Lawrence revealed that a script was in the works back in 2011, but talks died out soon after & hopes of ever seeing Lawrence & his co-star Will Smith seemed all but washed away. However, Sony isn’t done just yet & it looks like the third film is back on.
It was revealed by Deadline today that the third film from Sony’s Bad Boys, Bad Boys for Life, is coming to the big screen. Not only is the film coming back, but it was announced that Adil El Arbi & Bilall Fallah (Black, Snowfall) are going to direct the film. Arbi & Fallah have directed a few episodes for FC’s Snowfall & are set to direct the fourth Beverly Hills Cop film.
The film does not have a release date, but it’s said to be targeting August for it’s production month. Jerry Bruckheimer is also locked in to produce the film. NBC is also doing a spin-off to the Bad Boys films starring Gabrielle Union.
