Alfred Molina Returns As Doctor Octopus For Sony’s Spider-Man 3 Film

Sony & Marvel might be trying to keep a tight lid on the third entry of their Spider-Man film films & its rumored plot. Fans have been circling the rumor that the next Spider-Man film will indeed be a Spider-Verse film that will include Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield & Tom Holland.

A few months ago, Jamie Foxx was confirmed to be playing Electro for the second time in Sony’s third Spider-Man film. The rumors circulating about the third film were starting to rise with this casting news even though Foxx started to fall back from mentioning his return publically. However, news just broke today that pretty much puts the rumors into the realm of confirmation.

Sony confirmed today that Alfred Molina is joining the third Spider-Man film as Doctor Octopus! So that’s Electro from Garfield’s 2014 The Amazing Spider-Man 2 & Molina’s Doctor Octopus from Maguire’s 2004 Spider-Man 2. This is definitely turning out to be a coming together of the Sinister Six but also a multiverse film. Despite the silence from Sony & Marvel, we will just have to sit & wait for the plot to be revealed!
