Amazon’s ‘Upload’ Series Gets Renewed for Season 3

Fans get excited because our favorites are coming back for another season! Robbie Amell has officially announced on Instagram that Upload will be getting a Season 3! All the questions that were left unanswered in that cliffhanger from Season 2 will finally be answered.

Developed by The Office and Parks and Recreation creator Greg DanielsUpload follows the tragic story of the young app developer Nathan Brown (Amell), who gets uploaded into a luxurious afterlife thanks to his shallow yet wealthy girlfriend, Ingrid (Allegra Edwards). Season 1 showed us the dystopian future where you need to pay to keep on living in the afterlife. Meanwhile, new ads and useless products are introduced to the simulation to force you to keep spending, and the rich keep being rich.

The first season also introduced Nora (played by Andy Allo), a customer service representative who worked for the company and was called “Angel” inside the afterlife. Nathan and Nora quickly fall in love but can’t get together due to the obstacles in Nathan’s previous life and ex-girlfriend Ingrid.

Season 2 expanded on the afterlife, but it focused more on Nathan and Nora moving forward with their romance while still facing obstacles. In the season finale, Nathan downloads his conscience into a clone to finally confront the people he believes killed him, only to find out he might die. Many fans with Season 2’s cliffhanger wondered what would happen to Nathan and were left with just questions.

Daniels had this to say: “I’m thrilled to continue the story of Nathan and Nora and the other residents of Lakeview and near-future America as they try to have fun and do the right thing in both the real and virtual worlds.” I can’t wait to see how much more than can explore with this.

The series also stars Kevin Bigley, Zainab Johnson, Owen Daniels, Josh Banday, and Andrea Rosen. The first two seasons of Upload can be viewed on Prime Video. There’s still no release date for Season 3.
