Sean Marshall Dark Horse Entertainment signed a multi-year, first-look film & TV deal with Netflix & are bringing two properties to the small screen. Mind MGMT & Bang! are two properties from Dark Horse that get the live-action treatment.
Idris Elba will star in the film that will be directed by David Leitch. Bang! will be written by Kindt (Ninjak vs the Valiant Universe) & Zak Olkewicz. Mike Richardson & Keith Goldberg will produce for Dark Horse with Elba, while Leitch & Kelly McCormick will produce via 87 North.
The synopsis for Bang! is as follows:
A best-of-the-best secret agent with memories he couldn’t possibly possess, a mystery writer in her 60s who spends her retirement solving crimes, a man of action with mysterious drugs that keep him ahead of a constant string of targeted disasters, a seemingly omnipotent terrorist organization that might be behind it all . . .
And they’re all connected to one man: a science-fiction author with more information than seems possible, whose books may hold the key to either saving reality or destroying it.
MIND MGMNT is a comic book series that was created by Matt Kindt. The film will be executive produced by Curtis Gwinn (Stranger Things), Goldberg & Richardson. The comic book series follows Meru, a true crime writer who searches for the truth behind a mysterious airline flight and discovers a secret government agency of super spies, espionage, and psychic abilities. Henry Lyme, the former top agent, has gone rogue and is working to dismantle the organization.
