Sean Marshall Chris Pratt’s animated Garfield movie from Sony’s Columbia Pictures has a release date. The film is scheduled to hit theaters on February 16, 2024. The film will also star Samuel L. Jackson as Garfield’s father, Vic, who is a new character.
The film will be directed by Mark Dindal (Chicken Little) & will be written by David Reynolds (Finding Nemo). Alcon Entertainment will oversee the project, while Sony will distribute the film globally.
This isn’t Garfield’s first time on the big screen. In 2004, director Peter Hewitt brought the lasagna-loving cat to moviegoers with Bill Murray voicing Garfield & the sequel Garfield: A Tail of Two Kitties hit theaters in 2006 & was directed by Tim Hill.
