Disney+ & Hulu Price Increases Announced

Today, a not-so-surprising announcement came from Disney that revealed that Disney+ & Hulu are getting price increases. These changes are following the shakey news about HBO Max’s upcoming tiers.

Customers with Disney+ & Hulu can look forward to the price increase this December. Disney+ will cost subscribers $7.99 a month with ads, while their ad-free version will cost $10.99 per month, which subscribers can purchase annually for $109.99. The price increase for Hulu will go into effect on October 10th & the version with ads will increase to $7.99 a month or $79.99 a year, while the add-free version will increase to $14.99 a month.

Kareem Daniel, the chairman of Disney Media & Entertainment Distribution, had this to say:

With our new ad-supported Disney+ offering and an expanded lineup of plans across our entire streaming portfolio, we will be providing greater consumer choice at a variety of price points to cater to the diverse needs of our viewers and appeal to an even broader audience.”

What do you think about these price increases?
