Legendary Pictures Finds Director & Writer For Godzilla Sequel

With the focus mainly on next summer’s Kong: Skull Island, moviegoers & kaiju fans have probably forgotten that there is still a sequel to 2014’s Godzilla in the works.  Moviegoers don’t know much about the direction the sequel is heading in, but we do know that Mothra, Rodan & King Ghidora will be spreading their wings in the upcoming sequels.

Word hit today that Legendary Pictures is eyeing Krampus director Michael Dougherty to direct & Krampus writer Zach Shields to write the script for the Godzilla sequel, which some would take as a solid move on Legendary’s part.

Godzilla 2 is scheduled to hit theaters on March 22, 2019, while Godzilla vs King Kong film will hit theaters on May 29, 2020.
