Legendary Reveals Announcement Trailer for Godzilla vs Kong Sequel

Legendary Pictures revealed the official title for the sequel to 2021’s Godzilla vs. Kong. The title for the sequel is Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire. The title reveal trailer can be seen below.  

The film stars Dan Stevens, Rebecca Hall (Dr. Ilene Andrews), Brian Tyree Henry (Bernie Hayes), Kaylee Hottle (Jia), Fala Chen, Alex Ferns, and Rachel House.

Adam Wingard is returning to helm the film, with Terry Rossio, Jeremy Slater, and Simon Barrett penning the script. Mary Parent, Alex Garcia, Eric McLeod, Brian Rogers, Thomas Tull, and Jon Jashni will produce. 

This latest entry in the Monsterverse franchise follows up the explosive showdown of Godzilla vs. Kong with an all-new cinematic adventure, pitting the almighty Kong and the fearsome Godzilla against a colossal undiscovered threat hidden within our world, challenging their very existence – and our own. The epic new film will delve further into the histories of these Titans, their origins, and the mysteries of Skull Island and beyond, while uncovering the mythic battle that helped forge these extraordinary beings and tied them to humankind forever.

Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire will release in theaters on March 15, 2024.
