Sean Marshall For weeks rumors have been circulating about Andy Serkis hitting the big screen as Alfred Pennyworth in the 2021 The Batman film. Serkis was said to be in early talks to join the film but the talking has come to an end.
Matt Reeves took to witter today& announced that Serkis will definitely be joining The Batman as Alfred! Check out the Tweet below.
It was also announced this week that newcomer Jayme Lawson will be joining the film. The film is directed by Matt Reeves, who wrote the screenplay with Mattson Tomlin, and will star Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne / Batman, with Jeffrey Wright, Zoë Kravitz, and Paul Dano in supporting roles. The film will hit theaters on June 25, 2021.
