Phil Lord & Chris Miller Leave The Han Solo Film

Disney’s Han Solo film definitely has the eyes of longtime Star Wars fans awaiting any bit of news from the upcoming film. However, there seems to have been a surprising piece of news that has made its way to the Internet. It was announced moments ago that Phil Lord & Chris Miller have departed the Han Solo film.

As of right now, no directors have been announced to replace the powerful duo. The film is still slated for its original May 28, 2018 release.

Kathleen Kennedy, president at Lucas film had this to say:

Phil Lord and Christopher Miller are talented filmmakers who have assembled an incredible cast and crew, but it’s become clear that we had different creative visions on this film, and we’ve decided to part ways. A new director will be announced soon.”

Lord & Miller added:

“Unfortunately, our vision and process weren’t aligned with our partners on this project. We normally aren’t fans of the phrase ‘creative differences’ but for once this cliché is true. We are really proud of the amazing and world-class work of our cast and crew.”

The film stars Alden Ehrenreich as Solo, alongside Woody Harrelson, Emilia Clarke, Donald Glover, Thandie Newton, Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Joonas Suotamo. The film is set in the Star Wars universe before the original 1977 film Star Wars and explores Han Solo and Chewbacca’s adventures, including meeting Lando Calrissian.
