Shaman King Flowers Gets Teaser and Cast Reveal

The official website for Hiroyuki Takei’s Shaman King Flowers anime went public this morning and released a teaser and gave fans of the manga and anime a look at the voices behind the characters of the upcoming sequel anime.

The manga and anime will center on Asakura Hana—the son of Asakura Yoh and Asakura Anna—about 16 years after the Shaman Fight in Tokyo. Hana has grown up to become a lazy and brutal kid. He does not care about his studies, skips classes often, gets into gang fights, and feels very bored with his everyday life. All that changes when members of the branch Asakura Family—Yohane and Luca—arrive to challenge and kill Hana and his father, Yoh, to take their place as the main house. Hana begins to learn about the “Flower of Maize”, which is a proxy battle between Asakura Hao and the previous Shaman King YVS.

Takei’s released Shaman King Flowers via Shueisha’s Jump X from April 2012 to October 2014. The anime series is scheduled to release on Netflix and is a follow-up to the 2021 Shaman King anime series.

Takeshi Furuta will return to helm the anime, and Shoji Yonemura is returning to oversee the script. However, Satohiko Sano will not be returning to design the characters from the anime and is being replaced by Mayuko Yamamoto.
