When Sony skipped out on this year’s E3, gamers across the board were shocked & upset that not even a tease of the upcoming PlayStation 5 was shown or discussed. Over the months we’ve seen minor reports on what the next console will bring to gamers & speculations on how powerful the next system from Sony will be.
Well, Sony finally released their PlayStation 5 announcement & also gave us a targeted time for release. According to Sony, the PlayStation 5 will release Holiday 2020. We don’t know much about the look of the system but the controllers are said to have adaptive triggers that will make a machine gun feel different than a shotgun in shooters. The system will use 100 gig optical discs & be a Blu-ray/4K player. W will also be able to her install the online multiplayer or the single player to free up some space on the system. The controller is also said to be heavier than the PlayStation 4 controller but lighter than the Xbox One controller.
Architect of the PlayStation Mark Cerny said:
“Multiplayer game servers will provide the console with the set of joinable activities in real time. Single-player games will provide information like what missions you could do and what rewards you might receive for completing them—and all of those choices will be visible in the UI. As a player you just jump right into whatever you like.”
We can be sure to see a tease at this year’s Video Game Awards.
