The Trailer For Letitia Wright & Tamara Lawrance’s ‘The Silent Twins’ Released

Universal Pictures released a new trailer for their upcoming film The Silent Twins. Check out the trailer below.

The film stars Letitia Wright & Tamara Lawrance as June & Jennifer Gibbons. The film will be directed by Agnieszka Smoczynska & will arrive in theaters on September 16, 2022. The film premiered this May at the Cannes Film Festival.

The Silent Twins is based on the true story of June and Jennifer Gibbons, identical twins who grew up in Wales. They got the nickname “The Silent Twins” because they only communicated with each other. Both women were committed to Broadmoor Mental Health Hospital for 14 years. This is the second time a film based on the Gibbons twins has been made. In 1986, a film with the same title was directed by Jon Amiel & the script was written by Marjorie Wallace, who is also the author of the book The Silent Twins.
