The Marvel Cinematic Universe is becoming more diverse as it moves forward. With Ryan Coogler rocking the house of mouse with Chadwick Boseman’s Black Panther, it should be no surprise that Kevin Feige is looking g to bring in another prominent African-American director to hell a film in the MCU.
During an interview with HeyUGuys, Antoine Fuqua revealed that he has an upcoming meeting with Feige to potentially helming a film for Marvel. Fuqua seems very optimistic about directing a film at Marvel.
“For me it has to be the right one, in the right situation because there’s so much visual effects going on and – ‘Where’s the director in it all?’ I need to understand it because it’s like management…they have a machine, they’ve got people, there’s the design, the whole thing is sketched out[…]Is the director doing that? Or is it a hundred other people?”
Having Fuqua on the team would be a great push for Marvel, but it would really depend what upcoming film he’d be attached to.
