Live-Action Pokémon Series Coming To Netflix

Pokémon fans will be excited to hear that Netflix is bringing another Pokémon series to their platform. The great news about this news is that according to Variety, the series will be a live-action series & will be written by Joe Henderson, executive producer & co-showrunner of Netflix’s Lucifer series as a writer & executive producer.

This will not be the first time we’ll get to see Pokémon brought to us as live-action. In 2019, Legendary Pictures brought us Detective Pikachu, which starred Ryan Reynolds as Pikachu, Justice Smith, Kathryn Newton, Suki Waterhouse, Omar Chaparro, Chris Geere, Ken Watanabe & Bill Nighy. The film brought in $433 million & was well-received by critics & fans.

There’s no release date, no casting announcement, or story details for the upcoming live-action series, but I’m going to assume that they’ll go with a new character, although I’d like to see a live-action take on Satoshi (Ash).
