New Poster & Updates For MAPPA’s ‘Chainsaw Man’ Revealed

The official Chainsaw Man Twitter account revealed a new poster for the upcoming anime series. Check out the poster below. 

MAPPA will be hosting an event for the anime on their YouTube channel on August 5th at 8 pm Japan time. MAPPA will reveal the anime’s cast and a teaser trailer at the event.

The team bringing Chainsaw Man to life is as follows includes director Ryu Nakayama (Jujutsu Kaisen Episode 19 Director), assistant director Hiroshi Seko (Mob Psycho 100, Jujutsu Kaisen), who will write the script, character designs will be drawn by Kazutaka Sugiyama (Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation), & Keisuke Seshimo (Jujutsu Kaisen), who is the animation producer. The music will be composer by Kensuke Ushio (A Silent Voice, Devilman Crybaby).

Denji is a teenage boy living with a Chainsaw Devil named Pochita. Due to the debt his father left behind, he has been living a rock-bottom life while repaying his debt by harvesting devil corpses with Pochita. 

One day, Denji is betrayed and killed. As his consciousness fades, he makes a contract with Pochita and gets revived as “Chainsaw Man” — a man with a devil’s heart.
