Sony’s Animated ‘Garfield’ Films Brings in Ving Rhames, Nicholas Hoult & Hannah Waddingham

Sony Pictures announced that they are working on an animated film for the beloved lasagna-loving cat Garfield earlier this month. Chris Pratt will be voicing Garfield, while Samuel L. Jackson will be voicing Garfield’s father.

Sony revealed additional cast today that includes Ving Rhames ( Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One), Nicholas Hoult (The Menu), Cecily Strong (Saturday Night Live) & Hannah Waddingham (Game of Thrones, Hocus Pocus 2). There are no details on who Rhames, Hoult, Strong & Waddingham will be voicing in the film.

Chris Pratt’s ‘Garfield’ Film Gets A Release Date

The film will be helmed by Mark Dindal (Chicken Little) & written by David Reynolds (Finding Nemo). Steven P Wegner & John Cohen (Despicable Me) will be producing with co-CEOs & co-founders of Alcon Andrew Kosove & Broderick Johnson. Davis Andrews, Craig Sost, Bridget McMeel & Davis Andrews will be executive producing, while DNEG Animation will animate the film.

The film will be distributed globally except for China on February 16, 2024.
