Wonder Woman 3 Canceled at Warner Bros.

Since Warner Bros. Pictures went under new management, most suspected we would see new changes to the DC cinematic universe. Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam kicked off the new cinematic universe, which Shazam! Fury of the Gods, The Flash and the Aquaman sequel will follow. However, the familiar faces like Ben Affleck’s Batman, Henry Cavil’s Superman, who we know will be returning to the cinematic universe, and Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman were left the air.

It was recently announced that James Gunn will be the new head of the DC films. With him and Peter Sefran leading the new cinematic universe at DC, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that the house that they’re building will not welcome some of the familiar faces from the previous films. Word arrived from The Hollywood Reporter that Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman 3 film has been panned due to the film not fitting the vision of Gunn and Sefran.

According to sources close to The Hollywood Reporter, after Patty Jenkins gave in her script for Wonder Woman 3, Gunn, Safran, and Warner Bros. Pictures co-CEOs and co-chairs Pamela Abdy and Michael De Luca told her that the third Wonder Woman film was being scrapped.

It isn’t clear on whether Wonder Woman will be rebooted without Gadot, but we’ll keep you posted.
