Tokyo Game Show: Sega Released Announcement Trailers for Two New Yakuza Games

Today kicks off the Tokyo Game Show &Sega kicked open the doors with two new titles from the  Ryū ga Gotoku (Like a Dragon) video game series. 

One of the announced games was Like a Dragon 8, which is scheduled to hit the market in 2024 for PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows, & Steam. The trailer teases fans with the return of Ichiban Kasuga & Kazuma Kiryu, which shouldn’t be a shock. The second game announced was Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, which sheds light on Kiryu’s perspective following the events of Yakuza 6: The Song of Life leading up to Like a Dragon 8. Kiryu returns in Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, launching in 2023!

The Yakuza games are a Japanese media franchise created, owned & published by Sega. The gameplay centers on beat ’em up, action-adventure, open world, turn-based strategy, & role-playing action genres. The Yakuza games were created by  creator Toshihiro Nagoshi & were developed by New Entertainment R&D Dept.,
Syn Sophia & Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio.
